The Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) is conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi for the recruitment of Nursing Officers (Group B) across all AIIMS and associated government medical institutions in India. The upcoming cycle, NORCET-10 (2026), offers positions at Pay Level 7 = Basic Pay ₹44,900 under the 7th CPC.

Educational Qualification
Option 1 - B.Sc. Nursing Route
- Qualification: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC / State Nursing Council recognized institute or university
- Registration: Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council
- Experience: Not required
Option 2 - GNM Route
- Qualification: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an INC / State Nursing Council recognized institute or board
- Registration: Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 50-bedded hospital after obtaining the qualification
